Bubup Wilam Aboriginal Child and Family Centre is an Aboriginal Community Controlled organisation working with families to nurture strong and proud Aboriginal children in a culturally rich and supportive educational environment. Bubup Wilam aims to provide children with a foundation for lifelong learning, health and wellbeing through strengthening their Aboriginal identity and self-esteem. Bubup Wilam is a regulated Aboriginal Early Years organisation, including 3 and 4-year-old Kindergarten.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the daily coordination and operation of Bubup Wilam’s Early Years Education area to ensure quality standards are met in line with Bubup Wilam’s vision and Philosophy.
  • To work as the nominated supervisor for the Early Years Education area in collaboration with the Deputy CEO.
  • To ensure compliance, and oversee the delivery of the Bubup Wilam Aboriginal curriculum, and educational implementation of developmental, cultural, and holistic early years programs for children.

Qualifications and experience

  • Minimum of a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or a Bachelor of Early Childhood.
  • A current Working with Children Check and/or VIT registration.
  • A current First Aid Certificate (including anaphylaxis and asthma) and trained in CPR.
  • Proof of current COVID-19 vaccination.
  • Police check, dated within last 3 months.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Aboriginal Early Years Education and Care.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Early Years Education.
