We’re looking for a professional Specialist Inclusion Program Manager with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference over a 2 year max term contract (with potential for extension), working 38 hours per week, leading our specialist inclusion BSL team, as part of the broader North East Link Social Inclusion Team, located in the North-East Link Tunnels, Spark Consortium offices in Abbotsford.

THE ROLE

This role leads a small team to help disadvantaged jobseekers into work, by being the lead aggregator of candidates and services, for recruitment and matching to jobs made available in the North East Link project. Underpinned by research and evaluation to inform and improve operations, this project also supports BSL's systemic change agenda, by drawing evidence informed insights and policy implications from data and practice.

This role will pioneer a highly innovative project by being embedded within the North-East Link Tunnels, Spark Consortium Inclusion team, working hand in glove to partner with service provider agencies and associated supply chain subcontractor stakeholders to ensure the facilitation of approximately 965 sustained employment placements for priority disadvantaged jobseekers over a seven-year NEL design and construction phase.

  • Maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key Spark stakeholders to manage expectations, clarify agreements and partnership roles and ensure delivery is linked to Sparks Inclusive Employment Strategy.
  • Oversee the design, facilitation and delivery of a wide range of innovative employment pathway programs which are highly responsive to the needs of both industry and priority cohort jobseekers.
  • Work closely with employment, education and community stakeholders to harness expertise in working with a range of disadvantage cohorts for program design, utilising relevant government funded service inputs.
  • Work with BSL’s research, monitoring and evaluation department to establish research objectives and evaluation frameworks. 

Salary will be $127,000 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

  • Strong capacity to influence a very wide range of stakeholders across multiple sectors, from corporate through to NFP, employment & education, and community.
  • Experienced people leader with a track record in developing and delivering innovative employment support models for disadvantaged jobseekers.
  • Understanding of the employment and education sectors, with intimate knowledge of funding drivers and business models pertaining to a wide variety of priority jobseekers.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Infrastructure and Civil Construction Industry an advantage
  • Customer service focused
  • Highly-developed administration, computer skills and competency in Microsoft Program
