We’re looking for a professional Senior Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a 12 month Maximum Term basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE

Provides business partnering to BSL on Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) policy, procedures, programs, systems and practices. Develop, implement and monitor HSW programs across BSL.

You will:

  • Provide an exceptional level of internal customer service
  • Contribute to and initiate continuous improvement activities relating to people experience policies, practice and procedures
  • Manage a portfolio of audit actions and projects. Resolve issues arising from audits and refer serious or contentious issues to the Health Safety and Wellbeing Manager.
  • Provide expert advice and support in HSW by coaching and supporting managers and employees on HSW matters such as internal audits, emergency management, safe work practices and legislative requirements.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for an individual who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Strong consulting, negotiating and facilitation skills
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to develop and deliver HSW programs
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of project management and risk management principles as well as health and safety management systems
  • Knowledge of current legislation and practices
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
  • Customer service focused
  • Highly-developed administration, computer skills and competency in Microsoft Programs

Highly desirable skills:

  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • Highly proficient in the use of the QuickClaims/QuickSafe management systems
  • Tertiary qualifications in Personal Injury Management/OHS
