Cultural Training Facilitators - Ballarat

Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council

About BRMC

The Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities across Ballarat and the Central Highlands. We promote social cohesion, cultural inclusion, and community understanding through a range of programs, partnerships, and training initiatives.

About the Role – Cultural Training Facilitators

We are recruiting passionate individuals to join our team of Cultural Training Facilitators. Facilitators will deliver engaging training sessions across community, education, business, and service sectors. Our offerings include half-day workshops on topics such as Cultural Competency and Anti-Racism, as well as shorter, online sessions and lunchtime webinars tailored to specific sectors like aged care (e.g. cross-cultural communication, inclusive service design).

All sessions are co-delivered with a lived experience speaker from our Speakers Bureau. This ensures our training is grounded in real stories and perspectives from people in our communities, helping participants connect learning with lived realities. Facilitators may also support or moderate these storytelling components as part of the session.

We’re looking for people who are:

  • Skilled in facilitation, adult education, or community engagement
  • Confident communicators with a learner-centred approach
  • Passionate about cultural inclusion, social justice, and meaningful change

Lived experience of migration or navigating cultural diversity is strongly valued.
These are paid casual roles under the SCHADS Award. BRMC offers comprehensive training, mentoring, and flexible, sessional work opportunities.

Know someone with a powerful story to share? Encourage them to apply for our Speakers Bureau (see separate listing).
