ABOUT YOUR ORGANISATION

In partnership with Mercedes-Benz, 99 Bikes, WISE Employment and Cleanaway, Brainwave Australia established Brainwave Bikes in 2022 to enable the young people it supports to gain the personal and employability skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce in the bicycle, retail, hospitality and other industries. The pre-employment program has four trainees each six months. To date, 17 of these young people have gained work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Pre-Employment Program Coordinator leads and delivers the program, alongside the professional Brainwave Bikes team and supported by the Brainwave Services Manager, and in partnership with IEA providers, local special schools, BKLLEN, employers and other partners. Assessment and development are important to ensure the program achieves the outcomes, and the role includes acquiring new employer partners.

You are ideally a leader in community services working with disadvantaged young people in a training setting. You understand this cohort and have worked with them to create a new future. With mainstream employment our goal, you are comfortable approaching and working with local employers.
