Friends of Bonorong (FOB) is the fundraising arm of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, which operates Tasmania's only 24/7/365 wildlife rescue service, a dedicated wildlife hospital and a comprehensive rehabilitation program for injured and orphaned native animals. A Board of volunteer Directors guides the mission and vision of Friends of Bonorong fundraising, donor management and corporate partnerships.

about the opportunity

The FOB Board seeks to appoint a Volunteer Treasurer, or a company that can provide voluntary support, with the skills and capacity to provide:

  • Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance against the budget and advise on financial implications of strategic plans.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present quarterly financial statements to the board, including at Annual General Meetings.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and maintain safe custody of funds.
  • Audit Management: Liaise with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process.
  • Banking & Records: Manage banking transactions, invoice payments, and financial record-keeping.
