About the Role

Serene Residential Care is a boutique 43-bed aged care facility dedicated to respectful, compassionate care. We are seeking an Aged or Disabled Carer to provide high-quality support to our residents. This role is a perfect match for a professional who thrives providing person-centred care within a residential environment.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming with dignity.
• Assisting residents with their mobility and safe transfers throughout the facility.
• Providing genuine companionship, friendship, and emotional support to residents.
• Accompanying aged and disabled residents during their daily activities and scheduled appointments.
• Preparing food for residents and assisting with mealtime requirements.
• Arranging and participating in social activities to promote well-being.
• Performing housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming and cleaning, to ensure a comfortable living space for residents.
• Assisting with shopping and running necessary errands as required for resident care.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in aged care or disability support
• Current National Police Check
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude

Roster and Pay

• Rotating roster including morning, afternoon, and night shifts
• Regular weekend shifts required
• Attractive hourly rate in line with the relevant Award
• Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays
