The Role

Bridge Housing is looking for a Technical Officer to join the busy Assets Department. Reporting into the Manager, Asset Programs, you and the other Technical Officers will deliver the Assets Maintenance Plan across the portfolio of over 3,400 properties.

The AMP includes the delivery of disability modifications, upgrades to vacant properties and planned and responsive maintenance. The role is based from the Goulburn Street office, however you'll spend most of your time on the road travelling across Bridge's operational area including the Brookvale office and Northern Beaches area.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the Bridge Housing Asset Management Program (AMP)
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with the NSW Land and Housing Corporation Asset Management Framework, all legislative and regulatory codes and standards.
  • Undertake all required inspections at all key stages in the work schedule to ensure adherence to the AMP budget and timescales.
  • Ensure that all works are carried out meet work health and safety requirements.
  • Support the financial performance of the organisation through accurate scoping and management of all vacant properties, minimising loss of rental income.

Salary and Classification:

This role is classified as a Level 6 within the Social Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010. The salary for the role is $102k-$106k + super + NFP salary packaging benefits.

About You

  • At least 5 years' experience in multi-site remedial construction, maintenance, skilled trades or property project management
  • Trade Cert IV or equivalent
  • Excellent contract management skills
  • Technically minded with experience managing low to medium value works ($5k-$100k)
  • Previous licensed builder (desirable)
  • Background working with technical account/portfolio management, insurance projects or strata portfolio management (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Land and Housing Corporation's schedule of rates and processes (desirable)

In addition, the following are mandatory requirements for this role:

  • NSW drivers licence
  • White card
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19
  • Federal police check
  • NDIS worker's check
