Project Coordinator - Digital Engagement Program

BirdLife Australia is 18 months into an exciting and transformative program implementing a new digital engagement ecosystem (Salesforce CRM and website) to support BirdLife’s ambitious Bird Conservation Strategy.

With the Salesforce CRM, including plug-ins, deployed in early 2022, the project is currently focussed on refining incomplete processes from phase 1 build and preparing the groundwork for phase 2 build, a second, and smaller phase of process and data implementation covering business critical requirements for volunteer management, grants management and advocacy.

Reporting to the Head of Organisational Effectiveness this exciting new role will have a critical scope working closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure the CRM and web projects are delivered to agreed schedules, outputs and budget, working with both external contractors and internal teams.

You will do this by

  • Maintaining an overview of delivery schedules
  • Maintaining stakeholder engagement plans
  • Scheduling and decommissioning of ‘old’ websites
  • Ensuring stage 1 ‘clean-up’ ticketing is completed to fully operationalise phase 1 build
  • Co-ordinating with team/initiative owners where needed, to ensure that internal business process pre-work commences and is completed prior to contract
  • During Phase 2 build liaise with contractor, Sales fix and staff to ensure schedules and outputs are met
  • Monitoring agreed budget, task completion and preparing invoices ready for authorisation
  • Establishing and scheduling Phase 2 build user Acceptance testing in conjunction with relevant team managers and CRM owner

Status and remuneration

This is a part-time position (0.6FTE) 22.5 hours per week offered on a 5-month contract.

This position is a hybrid role which can be worked from the BirdLife Australia National Office Carlton or from a home-based office location.

Salary range $38 - $40 per hour plus super. You will also enjoy great benefits, including additional special leave entitlements and 17.5% annual leave loading.

To apply for this role you must have

  • A Tertiary Qualification
  • Direct work experience in a project coordination capacity, including development and execution
  • A demonstrated track record of understanding how business solutions such as CRMs, business / digital web technology / document management processes work
  • Proven experience in the preparation / coordination of project budgets.
  • Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to perform both day to day operational tasks alongside project coordination responsibilities in order to deliver results in a limited people resource environment.
  • Valid Australian work rights with permission to work
