Digital Project Officer

We are looking for a Digital Project Officer to support BirdLife Australia’s mission to stop extinctions and help secure the future of Australia’s birds and their habitats.

In this exciting new role, you will be part of the Digital Engagement Project supporting the organisation as we go ‘digital first’ and prepare to significantly transform BirdLife’s digital engagement capability.

Reporting to the Digital Transformation Lead, you will have a critical role working closely and supporting a small dynamic project team that engages with organisational stakeholders to develop and implement a new digital engagement system.

You will do this by:

  • Monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets and expenditure
  • Organising and participating in stakeholder and supplier meetings
  • Ensuring that project deadlines are met and internal reports are delivered in a timely manner
  • Coordinating formal escalation and review processes and documentation for the project manager and project team
  • Managing project related administrative tasks including scheduling meetings and minute taking
  • Being the main point of contact for internal working groups and vendors

You will have at least 3 years’ experience working in a Digital Project Officer role with that unique mix of attention to detail, efficiency and flexibility. You’ll be highly organised with a positive can-do attitude.

TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST:

  • Have a knowledge and experience of Project related platforms including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, SharePoint, Visio, Microsoft Project or other similar platforms like Asana
  • Have experience working in an Agile Framework
  • Have at least 3 Years experience in a Digital Project Officer Role
  • Have valid Australian work rights and permissions to work
