  • $74,910 base (Prorata) + super + salary packaging option
  • Based between Collingwood and Metro Melbourne locations as required

How you'll change lives:

Launch Housing has a fixed term position available within our Initial Assessment and Planning (IAP) team, for an individual committed to working with people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

Our IAP Service is Launch Housing's first point of contact with our clients. The key responsibilities of this role include providing information, referrals and support to assist families and individuals to find short term and long term, secure and affordable housing.

This role will be part of a team of Courts outpost workers who are meeting the requirements of housing engagement for those engaged with the relevant Courts Services programs.

What you'll bring:

We are looking for people who can work under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions quickly. You will be empathetic and able to relate effectively and sensitively to people from diverse backgrounds.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated ability in working collaboratively with others towards effective client solutions.
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including; active listening, empathy, social awareness and emotional intelligence in both verbal and written communications.
  • Experience in the social welfare sector, working with clients with complex needs and/or social policy/client support frameworks (Advantageous but not essential)
