Launch Housing is a secular Melbourne-based community organisation that provides homelessness services and life-changing housing supports to disadvantages Victorians. With over 400 staff working across 13 locations, we want to end homelessness and are committed to creating lasting societal change to help those most in need in our community. In a country as wealthy as ours no one should be homeless.
Our Daily Support Team is designed to work with people who are entrenched in homelessness, who have complex needs, and who have received support from multiple services in the past, but for whom a lasting housing outcome has not been achieved. The model seeks to provide early intervention activities for people who are newly homeless, and seeks to address ways to rapidly divert them away from ongoing rough sleeping. The Daily Support Team is accountable to the Council on a daily basis, and works to achieve a coordinated response to rough sleeping within the City of Melbourne.
