About this Position

As a leader and innovator in workplace mental health, Beyond Blue offers workplaces a proven, scalable early intervention service so it is easier for employees to access personalised support earlier, understand how to look after their mental health, to get well and stay well.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to guide and support a dedicated group of Mental Health Coaches. In this role, you will provide daily operational leadership, ensuring high-quality mental health coaching using Beyond Blue’s evidence-based model of care.

Training in Low intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (LiCBT) will be provided as part of the role. The training is online, 5 weeks, full time between 11 Aug 2025 to 12 Sept 2025. The training is funded by Beyond Blue and the successful candidate will be employed and paid during the training.

The role

As part of the Before Blue, Team Leader role, you’ll:

  • Lead daily team operations, ensuring adherence to our evidence-based Low Intensity Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (LiCBT) model of care
  • Optimise team performance by monitoring coach utilisation, resource allocation, and workload balance
  • Manage reporting requirements, preparing operational reports for Board, Executive, and service improvement
  • Drive innovation and service enhancements that support sustainable revenue growth for Beyond Blue
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Mental Health Coaches, fostering professional growth and excellence
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, work and workforce plans, and performance reviews through the Thrives framework
  • Collaborate with Before Blue’s leadership team to align with shared goals and strategic direction
  • Represent Beyond Blue in workplaces and community settings, building meaningful stakeholder relationships

About you

To be successful you will hold:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, health, mental health, or a related field
  • Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced service delivery or contact centre environment (Mental health or healthcare sector experience preferred)
  • Strong reporting, organisational, and time management skills, with experience preparing operational reports for Board & Executive teams
  • Proactive, adaptable, and highly collaborative, capable of working independently or within a team
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset and ability to build relationships and engage stakeholders effectively
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities, using data to inform decisions
  • Proficiency in Jira, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
