About the Role
bestchance Child Family Care is seeking a Paediatric Social Worker to join our Children's Therapy Services team, supporting children aged 0–12 years and their families through family-centred, strengths-based practice.
Working within a multidisciplinary allied health team, you will provide support, advocacy, counselling, care coordination and capacity-building services to children and families experiencing developmental, social, emotional and environmental challenges.
About you
You are passionate about supporting children and families and have the ability to build trusting relationships with people from diverse social, cultural and community backgrounds.
You bring strong advocacy, problem-solving and relationship-building skills and can work collaboratively with families, professionals and community stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes.
What you Will be Doing
- Providing family-centred counselling and therapeutic support
- Advocating for children and families within education, health and community systems
- Delivering care coordination and referral support
- Supporting parents and carers to build confidence and capacity
- Collaborating with allied health clinicians, educators and community agencies
- Building strong partnerships with schools, kindergartens and local services

What We’re Looking For
- Qualification in Social Work and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- Experience working with children and families, or a strong interest in paediatric practice
- Experience within the NDIS, early intervention or family services sectors is highly regarded but not essential
- Current Working with children check
- NDIS workers screening check (or willing to obtain)
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Passionate about early intervention and family-centred practice
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with families and educators
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary teamMinimum 3 days of commitment required.
- You must hold a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
