About the Role
bestchance Child Family Care is seeking a Registered Music Therapist (RMT) to join our Children's Therapy Services team, supporting children aged 0–10 years and their families through creative, evidence-based and family-centered practice.
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will use music-based therapeutic interventions to support children's participation, communication, emotional regulation, social connection and overall development.
You will deliver both individual and group-based supports across clinic, home, kindergarten, school and community settings while empowering families and educators to support children's ongoing development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering music therapy assessments and interventions for children aged 0–10 years
- Supporting communication, emotional regulation, social connection and participation through music-based therapy
- Coaching parents, carers and educators to build confidence and capability
- Collaborating with Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Specialist Teachers
- Delivering services across clinic, home, educational and community settings
- Contributing to School Readiness Funding programs and group-based supports

What We're looking for
- Qualification in Music Therapy and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA)
- Experience working with children and families, or a strong interest in paediatric practice
- Experience within the NDIS or early childhood intervention sector is highly regarded but not essential
- Current Working with children check
- NDIS workers screening check (or willing to obtain)
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
- Passionate about early intervention and family-centred practice
- A strong communicator who enjoys working with families and educators
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Minimum 3 days of commitment required.
- You must hold a valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
