Lead Tenant (voluntary) - Shepparton

Berry Street Victoria
  • Free accommodation available
  • 24 hour support
  • Shepparton Region

This position is suitable for couples or single people who are currently studying or working either full or part time. The Lead Tenant Program is designed to support young people (aged 16-18) to develop independent living skills.

Berry Street’s Hume Lead Tenant program is in the process of recruiting volunteer ‘Lead Tenants’, for a live-in role that supports young people in Out of Home Care to build on their exposure to environments and experiences that more closely reflect the wider community and in doing so preparing them for leaving care.

The aim of the Lead Tenant Program is to provide a safe, stable, caring and supportive living environment where up to two young people are able to develop independent living skills in a shared household and to assist the young person in transitioning to an independent living arrangement.

Lead Tenants and young people will have access to the agency's on call support system. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual or couple looking for a rewarding experience, to give back to the community, gain experience and follow their passion of working with young people.

We are looking for males and females from all backgrounds, preferably with some experience working with young people.

As a Lead Tenant you will be part of a professional team. You will need to undergo a WWCC and Police Check prior to commencement.

For further information, please contact Julie Senior on (03) 5822 8100.
