A unique General Practitioner role, this position works closely with our Doctors in Secondary Schools Community Health Nurse and school wellbeing teams. The role provides health services to secondary school students and their families at two secondary schools in the City of Greater Bendigo. A rewarding position with great work life balance!

About The Position

Based within our Paediatric and Early Years service area the Doctors in Secondary Schools program is an established, innovative and effective program operating in a number of our local schools. This role provides GP services at two local secondary schools, providing holistic GP care to students and families from those schools. In onsite purpose-built medical rooms, the GP and nurse provide a GP clinic one day per week at each school during the school term. Working collaboratively with our experienced registered nurse, school wellbeing and administration team this position requires strong organisational, clinical and communication skills and a genuine interest in adolescent health and wellbeing. The role is supported further by a broader team of DiSS staff servicing other schools in the area.
