The Opportunity:

We deliver commercial packaging, co-packing and assembly service to a range of Australian and international customers. This includes wrapping, shrink-sealing, labelling and assembly, supported by modern in-house facilities and clean-room environments ensuring the highest food safety standards.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Supervisor to lead our team of supported employees in this area. As Supervisor, you’ll combine your love for commercial excellence with your passion for empowering people with disability - leading our team, shaping skills, and turning meaningful work into real-life impact. This role will see you provide guidance and direction to our supported employees in completing packaging and assembly assignments efficiently and safely.

This full-time position will see you working from 7:30am-4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am-2:00pm Friday at our Panorama based site in Adelaide, SA. The base salary for this position is $60,616.40 (plus 12% superannuation) and will include a company phone. To be successful in this position, you will be required to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (SA).

As Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise day-to-day packaging operations to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
  • Lead, train and support employees, including supported employees, in line with Individual Training Plans.
  • Champion NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct and Safeguarding requirements.
  • Ensure product quality meets customer and accreditation requirements (ISO 9001 / ISO 45001).
  • Conduct final inspections and ensure accurate picking, packing and dispatch of orders.
  • Set up, operate and troubleshoot packaging and labelling machinery.
  • Maintain machinery, consumables and basic preventative maintenance records.
  • Coordinate order distribution using company vehicles and freight providers.
  • Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, corporate, housekeeping and incident reporting requirements.

About you – the ideal candidate: 

  • Confident, mature and well-presented, with strong interpersonal, organisational and clear communication skills across a range of stakeholders. 
  • Previous supervisory experience in packaging, manufacturing, warehousing and/or distribution environments.
  • Experience in machine set-ups and live production troubleshooting and meeting safety obligations and reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on approach to task completion and collaboration in a team environment – you will be working alongside supported employees to complete jobs.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with practical problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with strong administrative and reporting capability.
  • Resilient, proactive and able to take initiative while representing the organisation professionally and ethically.
  • Positive, empathetic and inclusive approach when working with people with disability.
  • Committed to maintaining safety and welfare of crew members and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Formal qualifications and/or personal or professional experience in the disability sector desirable.
  • Forklift licence desirable.
