We have an exciting opportunity for Employee Supports to join our packaging team, working in Panorama and Elizabeth, with the flexibility for either part-time or casual employment. The working hours in Panorama range between Monday to Thursday 9.00am – 3.00pm, and Friday 9.00am – 2.00pm. The working hours in Elizabeth range between Monday to Thursday 9.00am - 3.00pm.

About the role

As the Employee Support, you will be responsible for providing assistance and support to individuals with disability in a workplace or supported employment environment. You will utilise your commitment and compassion to ensure participants are engaged in meaningful work, supported to develop skills, and that safety, wellbeing and inclusion are at the forefront.

The day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Providing support and supervision to participants during daily work tasks, encouraging independence and skill development to meeting individual goals.
  • Assisting with preparation, packing, assembly, or other tasks as per the workforce requirements.
  • Assisting participants to follow workplace procedures and meet production or service standards.
  • Working closely with Senior Supervisors, EM’s and EDC’s to ensure consistent support.
  • Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) or individual support plans.
  • Ensure workstations are safe, organised and compliant with workplace policies.
  • Completing progress notes, incident reports and required documentation electronically.
  • Work in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, Code of Conduct and Quality & Safeguarding Framework.

What we’re looking for

You will provide hands-on, engaging and meaningful supports to participants, assisting them towards their individual goals. To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality supports to people with disability (experience in the sector is highly desirable).
  • Understanding of supported employment principles and workplace safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility with working hours that would be suitable in a part-time or casual capacity.
  • Confidence using technology for reporting and documentation.
  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or equivalent (desirable).
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
