ABOUT THE ROLE

The Reports and Proposals Specialist plays a vital role linking the organisation's program work to the Philanthropy Team. Reporting into the National Development Manager, you will build knowledge and manage the flow of information from the programs team in order to develop, write and coordinate reports, proposals, grants and materials that support fundraising and supporter engagement activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with programs teams and partners to source information for proposals and communications
• Capture and translate programs knowledge to build the Philanthropy team’s understanding of their impact
• Contribute to and attend content collection field trips
• Assist Development team with proposals that reflect fundraising and product strategy, and program needs
• Provide material for marketing and communications projects such as reports, appeals, events and online channels
• Plan, manage, write and edit tailored proposals for donor-specific and general funding opportunities including Foundations and Trusts
• Support development of proposals, Impact Reports and publications and updates to the website/digital channels
• Contribute to compliance and DFAT accreditation requirements
• Contribute to product matrix and support development of fundraising products

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong editing and proofreading skills
• Ability to communicate concisely, persuasively and creatively
• Previous experience in designing and developing proposal/reporting templates
• Ability to manage workflow and collaborate within a complex organisational structure
• Attention to detail, accuracy and consistency
• Able to work to specific deadlines and targets
• Stakeholder management, maturity and cultural sensitivity
• A background or interest in International Development
