Beaumont People are currently partnered with Luke Priddis Foundation to bring on a Registered Psychologist to the team.

The Luke Priddis Foundation (LPF) Centre for Autism, believe in providing and promoting awareness, understanding and support for people, and their families, living with Autism or other additional needs. They deliver a range of complimentary health, welfare, therapeutic and educational services within a safe and respectful holistic service.

Due to recent growth they are seeking a Registered or Clinical Psychologist to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team (which includes Psychology, Speech and Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Behavioural Therapy and Social Skills Groups).

This role is a permanent Full Time or Part Time role, based in Penrith.

A bit about the role;

  • Deliver intervention via Telehealth during the current COVID-19 pandemic
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide evidence-based assessment, case formulation, and intervention to children, adolescents and young adults
  • Educate and support parents, carers, families and teachers in how to encourage skill building and guide development for each individual to reach their full potential
  • Develop, implement and monitor Positive Behaviour Support Plans across home, school and community settings (as needed)
  • Join the multidisciplinary team in formulating and leading group programs for preschool, primary and high school-aged children
  • Maintain case notes and complete letters and reports in a timely manner
  • Develop programs built on pre-existing family strengths to strengthen the overall functioning of the family unit
  • Take part in weekly supervision and multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Assist community members and other professionals to understand and promote strengths of individuals on the spectrum

To have success in the role, you will;

  • Be highly motivated and passionate about supporting children and adults with autism
  • Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Psychologist
  • Demonstrated experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of ASD, including ADOS-II and ADI-R
  • Have a Medicare Provider number (or be eligible and willing to obtain a Medicare provider number)
  • Understand a variety of therapeutic approaches and interventions working from a whole family, empowering approach.
  • Ability to be an advocate for clients and to teach, support and guide carers, teachers, and support workers at schools, day programs and community organisations (as needed)
  • Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload, prioritise work, and remain calm and collected under stressful situations, such as crisis intervention
  • Current NSW Working with Children and police clearance for paid employment
  • Current valid NSW driver's licence and use of own vehicle
