As Philanthropy Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in strengthening long-term support by helping identify, nurture and steward prospective major donors and legacy supporters. Working closely with the Philanthropy Manager and the wider Engagement Team, you’ll bring warmth, structure and momentum to a relationship-based program that inspires generosity and deepens supporter commitment over time.

In this key role, you will:

• Identify and help prioritise prospective major and legacy supporters through engagement and giving history
• Deliver high-quality, values-led stewardship across supporter journeys, including meetings, calls and personalised follow-up
• Coordinate the planned and legacy giving program, maintaining systems and processes that support a strong pipeline
• Ensure accurate CRM records and documentation of supporter intentions
• Track and report on engagement and program performance to inform improvement
• Support the development of donor communications and contribute to compelling storytelling, ensuring the messaging is values-led, ethical and compelling
• Collaborate across teams to develop prospects and strengthen relationship-based fundraising

About you

You’re a confident relationship-builder who connects purpose with supporter intent. You bring a thoughtful, organised approach, managing competing priorities while working both independently and as part of a team. With a growth mindset, you’re eager to learn and develop your skills in philanthropy, and you’re motivated by building long-term, trust-based relationships.

You have:

• Experience in fundraising, supporter engagement, or a relationship-based role (e.g. major gifts, Gifts in Wills, stakeholder or client relationship management)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across phone, email and in-person engagement
• Proven ability to build trust and maintain ongoing relationships
• Excellent organisation and coordination skills, with strong attention to detail
• CRM experience (Salesforce highly regarded) and confidence using data to guide engagement
• A growth mindset, with a genuine curiosity to learn, develop and build capability in major gifts and legacy fundraising, and a values-driven mindset and alignment with Act for Peace’s mission

Desirable experience includes exposure to legacy or bequest fundraising, event or small-group engagement, and understanding of donor stewardship and journeys.
