Who we are

BDS (Boycott Divestment and Sanctions) Australia is a coalition of pro-Palestine organisations and community-based groups, dedicated to informing and activating the Australian community about the BDS movement in support of Palestinian rights and justice. BDS is a Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality. It is based on the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.

We are part of an international non-violent movement led by Palestinian civil society aimed at pressuring the state of Israel to end its illegal military occupation, settlement and de facto annexation of the West Bank, East Jerusalem and blockade of Gaza and to adhere to all international human rights laws and conventions including the right of return to refugees. We work for an end to Israel’s apartheid policies and its grave human rights violations and persecution of Palestinians.
