We’re recruiting a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist to work across two separate part-time roles with Black Dog Institute (BDI) and Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA). This is a unique opportunity to hold two independent WHS roles concurrently. The roles are aligned in scope and level, but operate independently within each organisation. The position is structured as 0.4 FTE with Black Dog Institute and 0.4 FTE with Neuroscience Research Australia (NeuRA).
Across both positions, you’ll be responsible for delivering end-to-end WHS support, including providing practical WHS advice to leaders and employees, supporting WHS systems, policies and compliance requirements, leading and/or supporting incident investigations and risk management activities, coordinating audits, inspections and hazard identification, supporting WHS training and capability uplift, and contributing to a positive and proactive safety culture.
This role involves two separate employment contracts and onboarding processes. Each organisation operates its own WHS systems and governance. You’ll need to be comfortable working across two environments and managing competing priorities. If you’re looking for variety and autonomy and are comfortable working across two parallel roles, we’d love to hear from you.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible recruitment experience where all candidates can fully participate in the process.
We warmly encourage applications from First Nations peoples, culturally and racially diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and others from underrepresented backgrounds.
We recognise that not everyone has had equal access to opportunities, and valuable skills and perspectives can be gained through diverse life experiences.
If this role excites you but you don’t meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply as your lived experience and insights are important to us.
If you have accessibility requirements or require information in an alternative format, please email [email protected] using the subject line: Work Health and Safety Specialist enquiry via EthicalJobs or phone.
We respect your privacy and confidentiality. We only provide information to other staff where it is needed to arrange workplace adjustments.
