About the Role

You will provide strong leadership in the development and implementation of contemporary Middle Years Education Programs with strong pedagogical leadership that reflects the Principles and Practices of the My Time Our Place Framework.

The Program Manager is also a Director and Nominated Supervisor of one of CRCS’s OSHC Programs with additional leadership responsibilities for rosters, supervision and day to day operations of all of the OSHC Programs. You will be required to accept and be accountable for the legal responsibility of this role. Directors are responsible for all aspects of the program such as (but not limited to) human resources, financial management, WHS, compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and reporting.

Essential qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in an approved (ACECQA) Early Education and Care Qualification.
  • Current approved First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Regulations (Reg 136).
  • Current approved anaphylaxis management training (Reg 136)
  • Current approved emergency asthma management training (Reg 136)
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Willingness to obtain qualification in disability support.

Your prime responsibilities:

  • All services are compliant with Educator ratios and maintaining budgetary allocations.
  • Identifies workforce requirements in advance and undertakes proactive recruitment campaign.
  • The use of Agency Educators is eliminated
  • Actively supervises and supports Educators and Service Directors to ensure a positive, compliance and child focussed culture
  • Actively monitors the financial compliance of services, instigates proactive corrective activities and ensures quality of care to children
  • Undertakes a regular monthly compliance audit
  • Provides leadership and education for Directors and Educators to ensure a culture of compliance and child focused education and care provision

About the Company

Since 1975, Belconnen Community Service (BCS) has been providing a wide range of high quality, integrated and inclusive programs and services to individuals, families, children and young people in the Belconnen and wider Canberra region. In 2019, following extensive stakeholder consultation, BCS drafted a new Strategic Plan for the years 2020-2030, and in 2020, officially changed its name to Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) as an indication of its reach into the wider Capital Region. While the company is currently undergoing this period of transition, its commitment to the people of the Capital Region remains steadfast.
