You see the person behind the story.
You know that recovery is about more than reducing symptoms.
You understand that meaningful change happens when people can reconnect with the things that matter to them - their routines, relationships, roles, interests and goals.
You can sit with complexity, think creatively, and support people to build confidence, independence and participation in everyday life.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
At Ballarat Community Health, we're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our integrated Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug team, supporting people experiencing challenges relating to mental health and alcohol and other drug use.
This is a newly created position, offering a unique opportunity to bring your ideas, strengths and experience to help shape how the role evolves within our integrated Mental Health and AOD team.
If you're an experienced Mental Health Occupational Therapist who is interested in expanding your practice into Alcohol and Other Drugs, we'll support you with training, mentoring and professional development to build your confidence and capability.
We're looking for the right person as much as the right experience.
We genuinely care about the people we work with, about the people we support, and about each other.
We believe we're always better together.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take what we do very seriously.
This is a team where you'll be supported, valued and encouraged to bring your ideas, strengths and personality to work.
For more than 45 years, Ballarat Community Health has been supporting people to live healthier, more connected lives.
We're a not-for-profit community health organisation with around 300 staff across Ballarat and the Western Region.
What makes BCH special is our people. We're passionate about our work, supportive of each other, and committed to creating positive change in the communities we serve.
