For more than 30 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters in Australia has provided young people (7 to 17 years) in need of additional support, guidance and friendship, with a caring, trained and supported volunteer mentor, who becomes a long-term positive role model.
The Ballarat Mentoring Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, screening and training of adult volunteer mentors from the community, the intake and assessment of young people, and matching of mentors to young people. Successful mentors will support young people (aged 7-17) through regular one-to-one mentoring, with ongoing support from the Mentoring Coordinator.
