The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Ahpra is committed to providing a culturally safe work environment that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we operate and serve.
This is a full time, ongoing position and can be located in Ahpra’s Perth or Adelaide office.
The Criminal Offences and Litigation Unit investigates and manages offence matters under the National Law. The team works closely with legal, regulatory, and operational colleagues, as well as external agencies, to deliver high-quality, timely investigations that directly support Ahpra’s role in protecting the public.
This is an opportunity to join the team in an ongoing role as an Inspector. In this role you’ll manage your own caseload of investigations into alleged criminal offences under the National Law. You’ll plan and conduct investigations, interview witnesses and suspects, collect and assess evidence, and prepare clear reports and recommendations.
We’re seeking someone who brings strong investigation skills and the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters. You’ll need to be confident applying legislation, working with different stakeholders, and producing high-quality reports.
