Reporting to the GM People, Culture and Safety, the position will assist and contribute to the People, Culture & Safety team so that the strategic goals and objectives of Baptcare are met on time and within budget. Specifically, to provide a safe and healthy workplace for Baptcare’s staff and to meet all legal obligations in relation to Work Health & Safety, Workers’ compensation, and Wellness; to consult, coach and provide education in safety risk management, to manage suppliers and Workcover authorities to minimise costs on business; to apply best-in-class return to work and injury management practice, policy, and procedure.
Along with your expertise and in-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety and workers compensation legislation, you bring a passion to contribute to the community in the work you do. Together with your leadership experience representing organisations with the insurer, legal advisers, rehabilitation providers and the workers compensation conciliation, you will be well versed in the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the safety management system across Baptcare and delivery of the WHS Strategic and operational plan.
