About the Role

In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving social impact projects. You’ll take the lead in planning, organising, and executing initiatives that create positive change, ensure compliance, and contributes to further our mission in the social purpose sector. Your ability to turn ideas into action is a key asset.

Coaching and Mentoring

  • A significant aspect of this role is to provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to the dedicated individuals working on these projects. Your support will be instrumental in nurturing their skills and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.

Strong Communication

  • Effective communication is the cornerstone of successful project management. Your role will demand clear and concise communications with team members, stakeholders, and partners. Your adeptness at conveying ideas and information will be pivotal in project success.

High Emotional Intelligence

  • Empathy and understanding are key in the social purpose sector. Your high emotional intelligence will enable you to connect with a diverse individual and navigate complex situations and manage change with sensitivity. It will help build strong relationships and trust among team members.

PMO processes and standards

  • You will be responsible for adhering to Project management Office processes and standards, ensuring project are executed efficiently and with quality. Your ability to follow and promote best practice will maintain a high level of professionalism and effectiveness.

Key Duties

The Project Manager, operating within agreed reporting structures, is responsible for:

  • Adopting and applying appropriate quality strategies and PMO project management tools and standards when managing projects
  • Establishing and sustaining positive working relationships, and effective communications
  • Effectively balancing competing project constraints including scope, quality, schedule, funding, budget, resources, and risk, to manage project success.
  • Anticipating organisational needs and proactively make program recommendations to enhance service value.
  • Preparing papers, presentations and reports as required.
  • Managing the resolution of issues related to a misalignment between operations and projects and acting as a point of liaison between the project team and senior management across Baptcare.
  • Conduct project evaluation review post close out to measure success, identify lessons learned and add value and maturity to the Baptcare PMO operating structure.
  • Demonstrating and upholding appropriate workplace behaviours aligned with the Baptcare’s values.
  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development of PMO practices, standards, and continuous improvement activities

About You

You will ideally bring the following:

  • Ready to hit the ground running!
  • Proven track record of the successful project delivery
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, proven ability to organise complex processes involving multiple, detailed tasks and multiple inputs.
  • Proven ability to manage project governance, scheduling, financial and resource management, change control, risks, issues, and assumptions.
  • Demonstrated ability to educate and influence others to achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Proven ability to track and complete deadline-driven projects.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning software.
  • Vocational qualification in business management, project management or a related field is required.
  • Positive contributor and a strong commitment to quality
  • WWCC/NDIS
  • Experience in Aged Care/Disability or Government sectors
