If your passion is to work with social enterprises to develop sustainable solutions to local challenges, particularly unemployment for a diverse range of communities, then the Inclusive & Social Enterprise Officer is the ideal position for you.

The Inclusive Enterprise & Local Jobs service unit lead innovative approaches to improving economic opportunity and inclusion for local people experiencing barriers to employment through the development of labour market programs, social enterprises, Aboriginal enterprises and other inclusive enterprise initiatives.

As the Inclusive & Social Enterprise Officer you will deliver programs, services and initiatives that innovatively improve economic opportunity and inclusion in Banyule. This includes leading Banyule’s award-winning Social Enterprise Partnership Program, Social Enterprise Support Service and working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop new partnerships and projects.

Key responsibility

  • Support the coordination and delivery of Banyule’s Social Enterprise Strategy and projects
  • Work with business unit’s to identify opportunities
  • Establish partnerships and networks within the municipality
  • Prepare reports, business cases and project plans
  • Develop and maintain a centralised database

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline, or lesser qualifications with relevant experience
  • Experience in supporting social enterprises or the broader social-purpose sector
  • Experience in developing and managing stakeholders and partnerships
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in project management and report writing
  • Demonstrated experience of working with diverse communities

  • Salary range $89,269.36 to $97,051.86 plus super
