Fulltime/0.8 FTE
2-year fixed term, extension subject to funding
Reporting to the Managing Lawyer - SSRV and working under the leadership of the Principal Lawyer and Manager - Community Legal Services and Director - Healthy Communities, Senior Lawyer - SSRV is a key role that is responsible for delivering high-quality legal information, advice, casework and representation services to vulnerable and disadvantaged community members experiencing social security-related legal needs.
The Senior Lawyer - SSRV will ensure that Professional Standards are met and assist in the supervision of lawyers, student volunteers and secondees. The incumbent will contribute to stakeholder engagement and identifying and responding to systemic issues arising from casework and engagement activities. The role will involve regular outreach activities and will contribute to the delivery of a new service initiative.
