We have an exciting, permanent full time opportunity in our Credit team in Moe. The Team Leader – Credit is responsible for leading the three core functions performed by the team. These include Credit Assessment, Lending Service (Inbound calls) and Lending Administration.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the Credit team to ensure customer needs are met and loan funding targets achieved
  • Lead the Credit team to ensure all loan enquiries and applications are actioned in accordance with Bank Australia Lending Policies and Guidelines and service standards
  • Monitor quality and volume targets
  • Maintain service quality to the bank’s customers, staff and broker partners
  • Co-ordinate and implement staff training for the Credit team
  • Establish & lead performance objectives for the Credit team
  • Complete staff reviews and performance appraisals
  • Establish strong relationships with Bank Australia staff and broker partners
  • Support Bank Australia’s strategic objective of broader distribution across all of the bank’s distribution arms
  • Provide timely, accurate and appropriate performance reporting.

What you will bring

  • Strong knowledge of lending legislation, policies and procedures
  • Up to date understanding of trends in retail consumer lending
  • Strong understanding of the unique service landscape across branch, online/phone and broker introduced lending
  • High level of experience assessing, recommending and processing loans
  • Current (or previous) high level Delegated Lending Authority (DLA) preferred
  • Experience leading and motivating a team, in particular to achieve and exceed targets
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively determine priorities and allocate work under high workloads
  • Excellent customer service, conflict resolution and problem solving ability
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel
  • Project management and credit reporting experience
  • Ability to train staff and develop individuals and a team
