Ballarat East Neighbourhood House (BENH) is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to be part of the daily running of the Neighbourhood House.

BENH provides a safe and welcoming location within the broader Barkly Square Hub, 25-39 Barkly Street, Ballarat East, to support community members to engage in activities, or work on creative or meaningful projects in the company of others.We offer inclusive, affordable programs that foster connection, learning and well-being, strengthen mental health, and reduce social isolation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Community Engagement & Programs Administration Support position plays a key role in providing a responsive first point of contact for all community members, volunteers and tutors who participate in House by creating a welcoming, inclusive environment to ensure their experience at the BENH is positive and the program activities run smoothly.

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking someone with a friendly nature, with excellent time management skills, who is able to deliver high quality administration support within a dynamic environment. Your friendly nature, organisational skills, and the ability to show your versatility, creativity and initiative while working as a team member will be highly valued, as no two days are ever the same.

Required

  • Previous customer service, reception and administration experience.
  • Competence with computer systems including Microsoft office.
  • Experience using Clevero, Social Planet, Humanitix or other related events and program systems would be highly regarded.
  • As would knowledge of updating webpage content, usng Publisher or Canva and social media platforms Facebook and Instagram.

Essential

  • Police check and working with children's check is required
  • Driver's licence

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Part-time, ongoing role (12-15 hours per week, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 9am - 2pm)
  • Pay Rate - SCHADS (SACS) 3.1 $38.65 per hour
