Our Mission

We exist to ensure that every baby, child, and young person in need of care and protection has access to the essentials they deserve—warm clothing, items of comfort and security and the dignity of knowing someone cares. Our charity has been a lifeline for thousands of vulnerable children, working hand-in-hand with social workers, carers, and community partners to provide material aid when it’s needed most. At our core, we believe that every child matters and that compassion, integrity, and action can change lives.

The Impact You'll Make

As our CEO, you will be the driving force behind our mission—leading a passionate team, inspiring our community, and ensuring our resources reach the children who need them most. You will shape our strategic direction, strengthen our funding base, and amplify our voice so that no child is left without the essentials for a safe and nurturing start in life. Your leadership will directly translate into backpacks filled with belongings, stationery to support education, gifts during the Christmas season and hope in the hearts of children facing hardship.

What You'll Do

• Lead the organisation with vision, empathy, and strategic clarity, ensuring our mission remains at the heart of every decision.
• Drive sustainable growth in funding through donor engagement, partnerships, grants, and innovative fundraising initiatives.
• Advocate for the needs of vulnerable children, representing the charity to government, media, and the broader community.
• Oversee operational excellence—ensuring our aid distribution is efficient, transparent, and impactful.
• Inspire, mentor, and empower a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration and care.
• Work closely with the Board to deliver on strategic goals and ensure strong governance and compliance.

What You'll Bring

• Proven senior leadership experience, ideally within the not-for-profit, social services, or community sector.
• A deep commitment to child welfare and social justice, with the ability to inspire others to join the cause.
• Strong track record in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and building strategic partnerships.
• Exceptional communication skills—able to connect with donors, policymakers, and community members alike.
• Financial and operational acumen, with experience managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Resilience, empathy, and the ability to lead through both challenges and growth.
