To build stable and sustainable funding, the AYCC is looking to grow our Regular Giving Program this year. Our Monthly Donor Callers will be phoning our database to give supporters updates on AYCC campaigns and ask for regular donations. This will include mostly early afternoon - evening work, and would be perfectly suited to students or any young person passionate about climate justice.
We are looking for people who are confident and engaging communicators, with attention to detail and understand the importance of securing donations for a non-for-profit. Previous fundraising experience and/or experience volunteering within NFPs would be highly regarded but is not essential.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate young person committed to making a difference. You might be familiar with our organisation, or the climate justice movement in Australia. We are looking for someone who ideally has experience in fundraising or call-outs.
Note: If you don’t have all the skills listed above, but you are willing to learn and are passionate about working with young people and climate justice - please apply!
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people are strongly encouraged to apply.
The AYCC is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation building a movement of young people to protect our future from climate change. We are Australia’s largest youth-led organisation and one of the most effective organisations dedicated to tackling climate change, with hundreds volunteers nationally and more than 200,000 supporters. We have three major areas within AYCC:
Our movement is radically inclusive, equitable and accessible, and prides itself on its diversity and scale. To be able to win on our campaigns we know we need young people taking action everywhere across the continent. We empower volunteers to take on meaningful leadership and responsibility while supporting each other to learn and grow. And we also prioritise building the power of our movement in the places and communities most critical to enabling us to shift the public story and policy of climate change on this continent.
The AYCC is a youth-led organisation with an exemption from the Anti-Discrimination Act. As such, all staff and core volunteers are under 30, and we seek applications only from those under 30.
