About the assignment

The Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) is comprised of several units, each playing a role in offering a variety of services to their members and the business community within the district. These units are Business Development Services, Career Services, Youth Business, Economic Development and Tourism and Lobbying. The main objective of this assignment is to help the members who represent the SME sector in the region that have been impacted by COVID-19. HDCC has a broad network of local and international contacts with donors and partners but needs assistance to develop professional grant proposals and access to project funding.

  • You’ll be identifying channels of funding developing grant proposals to help COVID-19 impacted SME’s as well as support the development of staff in this area
  • You’ll need experience in grant writing of business development and knowledge of community opportunities
  • You’ll gain the opportunity to assist SME’s in Sri Lanka that have been impacted by the effects of COVID-19 

Allowance: $18

Allowance figure is per week, allowance figures are $30 (full-time), $18 (part-time)

Special requirements

The Partner Organisation’s preference for this role is part-time (less than 25h per week) -Federal Police Check must be completed during application - Video response interview must be completed as part of this application.
