Kythe Foundation is a non-profit, non-stock organisation aimed towards improving the quality of life among hospitalised children with cancer and other chronic illness. Kythe has a wide pool of volunteers who play and interact with children in hospitals, usually during weekends. Some volunteers also assist in kite flying activities and summer camps.

A volunteer is now needed to assist Kythe in formulating training designs and modules for the Child Life Program Trainers Manual which is essential in institutionalising Kythe in the health care setting. The volunteer will assist in the program design, implementation and management, and monitoring and evaluation (PDIMME) of the Child Life Program. The role will entail a lot of review of key documents, research, writing, coordination, and conducting capacity-building activities.

  • You'll be assisting Kythe in formulating training designs and modules for the Child Life Program Trainers Manual along with increasing the capacity of Kythe staff in effective training of health workers on the Child Life Program.
  • You'll need a degree in Child Life, Family Life and Child Development, Peadiatric Health Care, Special Education, or any related field and at least 2 years’ experience being a licensed Child Life Specialist.
  • You'll gain invaluable experience being part of the community of Manilla, the "Pearl of the Orient", the country’s financial, publishing, and business centre
