Join our Supportive and Collaborative Team as a Therapeutic Specialist!
The Foundation currently provides a range of therapeutic care programs in foster care and residential care in Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory. The Foundation is responsible for delivering the specialist therapeutic services within these programs which are delivered in partnership with a range of foster and residential care providers.
Within the ARISE program, the Therapeutic Specialist will provide counselling and group programs to address the impacts of family violence for children, young people and their parents/carers. The primary objective of the position is to provide 1:1 counselling individualised to address the developmental and trauma needs of young people using violence, along with dyadic counselling with the adolescent and their significant adult (parent/carer), deliver evidence informed group work interventions, family therapy, and care coordination that engages care teams and the broader professional service system to improve outcomes for young people who engage in violence in the home.
