AusRelief is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to lead and grow our marketing and communications efforts across local and international humanitarian initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and hands-on marketing professional who is passionate about storytelling, digital campaigns, humanitarian impact, and purpose-driven work. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead AusRelief’s marketing strategy while managing a small creative team and overseeing campaigns across digital, print, events, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives.

This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term maternity leave contract, with the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing humanitarian organisation.

About the Role

The Marketing Manager will oversee all aspects of AusRelief’s marketing and communications, including:

  • Leading and executing AusRelief’s overall marketing strategy
  • Managing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, events, and fundraising initiatives
  • Overseeing social media content, EDMs, website updates, and campaign communications
  • Guiding creative direction across design, video, and campaign content
  • Managing and mentoring the Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer
  • Developing engaging and impactful marketing copy and storytelling content
  • Managing content calendars, campaign timelines, and marketing deliverables
  • Collaborating with internal departments, external creatives, and partner agencies
  • Ensuring brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints
  • Monitoring campaign performance, engagement, and audience growth
  • Supporting organisational events, presentations, and promotional initiatives

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Marketing Management role
  • Qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting abilities
  • Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing, and content strategy
  • Experience working within the Not-for-Profit sector
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with CRM systems and email marketing platforms
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and CapCut
  • A creative mindset with strong attention to detail and brand consistency
  • Passion for humanitarian work and community impact

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the ACFID Code of Conduct and DFAT accreditation standards
  • Understanding of humanitarian principles and NGO governance
  • Experience in video production and editing workflows
