The opportunity 

Deliver entry-level (non-clinical) digital, in-home, and community-based aged and community care programs to support consumers to maintain social connectedness and independence. This role will involve taking clients out and assisting them with their shopping, and helping deliver our telephone support programs including Telecross.

Working as part of an integrated nation-wide Aged and Community Care team, you will collaborate with functional teams including Intake and Assessment, Quality, and Workforce Development, to ensure our programs are informed by consumer choice, provide dignity and respect, and are responsive to identity, culture and diversity. The role will also coordinate, supervise, train and support a large volunteer workforce.

What you will bring

  • Thorough knowledge in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteers
  • Sound knowledge and experience in using software applications including databases, client management systems, mobile/tablet applications, and Microsoft suite of programs
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative; work independently and in a team environment
  • Proven highly developed organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent records management and general administration skills
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including with people from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing programs to consumers from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Current drivers licence

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 3. Hourly rate from $34.04 + casual loading + superannuation + salary packaging.
