The Senior L&D Advisor will lead the identification and development of all learning & development related to building leadership capability including training material and facilitating training programs. The Senior L&D Advisor will be responsible for delivering training and coaching to ensure ATSICHS leaders and emerging leaders have access to learning and development opportunities required to deliver a high standard of service. The Senior L&D Advisor will also research and advise on learning and development opportunities, ensuring the alignment of training with ATSICHS core values and policies & procedures. The Senior L&D Advisor will facilitate training and where out of scope will liaise with the Manager, Learning and Development and relevant external providers. 

The Senior L&D Advisor will be responsible for imbedding internal career development, which goes above and beyond a succession plan and training matrix. This will include: design of organisational benchmarks, identification of individual strengths to better align to specific role, coaching and mentoring individuals, and, liaising with external leadership training providers. Furthermore, this role will design and facilitate internal training relevant to an organisation-wide program aimed at supporting cultural transformation. This will include: ATSICHS value and skills framework training, and ATSICHS Leadership training.

About you

Essential:

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Psychology, Education or related field
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in similar Learning and Development/Training related role
  • Experience designing and delivering training programs to all levels of employees
  • Experience designing and delivering leadership training programs
  • Ability to build rapport and strong internal relationships with employees and Stakeholders Organisation wide
  • Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes
  • Decisive listening, influencing and persuasive skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes
  • Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation.
