Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) is the major acute hospital for Central Australia, with 186 Beds, serving up to 60,000 people including visitors to the region. Surrounded by a striking landscape of spectacular gorges and ranges, working as a Social Worker at ASH also offers you an exceptional opportunity to experience the distinctive beauty of Central Australia. We are seeking an experienced social worker to join our team, with an approved Social work degree and a citizenship/visa that supports employment. This Alice Springs Hospital (ASH) social work role is a front line position, working as part of the MDT, ensuring that patients and their families have access to relevant support services, which can assist in meeting their needs, and ensuring safe discharge once their psychosocial issues have been addressed. You will provide culturally appropriate, effective, efficient and contemporary Social Work assessment and intervention service, meeting the needs of Alice Springs Hospital patients, their families and significant others.
