The Department of Territory Families, Housing and Communities, Greater Darwin Region has an immediate need for a Crossover Case Manager based in Darwin. Under the direction of the Team Leader, this position is responsible for the coordination and delivery of case management services to eligible young people.

As a Crossover Case Manager, you would be required to provide professional, effective, legislatively compliant and culturally appropriate support and supervision to young people in the care of the Chief Executive Officer and work towards reducing their involvement with the Youth Justice System. As well as, undertake statutory responsibilities and exercise delegations under the Care and Protection of Children and Youth Justice Acts.

To be successful, you require an Australian tertiary qualification, eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body; highly developed communication and interpersonal skills; significant working knowledge of concepts related to health and well-being that underpin contemporary practice, and Knowledge of local and national trends, reforms and developments as applicable to child protection and youth justice services. As well as, the ability to quickly acquire and apply an understanding of NT Government priorities and Territory Families’ strategies, relevant legislation and policies that guide the delivery of child protection and youth justice services.

Willingness to travel to regional and/or remote centre, and at least three (3) years working in the human services sector conducting strength- based assessments and twelve (12) months experience working with vulnerable children desirable.
