Reporting to the Immunisation Coordinator, the Nurse Immuniser will be responsible for running immunisations sessions to vaccinate clients and provide other related nurse immunisation services at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
The Nurse Immuniser will assist the Clinic Coordinator and the team of volunteer Nurse Immunisers to provide safe vaccination of adults, against a range of vaccine preventable diseases. You will need to demonstrate significant experience in working with healthcare professionals and organisations. Your role requires an excellent knowledge and understanding of the current immunisation schedule and practices.
As a Division 1, registered nurse with previous experience in a similar role, you will possess the following skills and qualities:
Some knowledge of, or experience in, understanding of the policy context of practice with asylum seekers would be advantageous for this position.
