Founded in 2001, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia’s largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum. We are an independent, values-driven, not-for-profit organisation whose programs support and empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well being. We champion the rights of people seeking asylum and mobilise a community of compassion to create lasting social and policy change.
The ASRC movement is proudly supported by a community of committed volunteers and supporters who embrace the organisation’s vision that people seeking asylum can live safely, sustainably, independently and equally.
The ASRC has two award-winning social enterprises, ASRC Cleaning and ASRC Catering that employ approximately 110 people with lived or living experience of seeking asylum in a range of casual and ongoing positions. The primary purpose of these enterprises is to provide people the opportunity to support themselves, gain Australian work experience and connect them to the broader Australian experience, while also focusing on skills development and employment pathways.
The ASRC is seeking an experienced part time Business Development Manager for a 12 month period, who will focus on driving sustainable revenue growth for ASRC social enterprises through expanding and strengthening the commercial customer base of ASRC Cleaning.
Working in this fast paced role, high-impact role, the Business Development Manager will focus on identifying new business opportunities and conversion of new business across corporate government and community sectors, securing contracts, partnership and procurement opportunities that supports financial sustainability while advancing ASRC’ social mission.
