Join our National Policy and Education division, leading projects across our HIV and sexual and reproductive health portfolios.

In this role, you will manage projects across our HIV and sexual and reproductive health portfolio, coordinate committees, engage key stakeholders, and contribute to policy and advocacy work. Working alongside clinical experts, government stakeholders and industry partners, you will help deliver national programs that strengthen the healthcare workforce and build capacity across the sector.

About You

You are an experienced project professional with a background delivering complex projects within health, policy, education or related sectors. You bring strong coordination capabilities, sound judgement, and a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes through collaborative partnerships.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Employment status: Full-time Fixed term (12 months contract)
  • Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 + super + NFP salary packaging - Salary based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects and committees that build workforce capability in HIV, BBVs and sexual and reproductive health
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, timelines, risk registers, and monitoring frameworks
  • Support and maintain stakeholder relationships across government, clinical, academic and community sectors
  • Prepare reporting, documentation and funding deliverables, and support project governance
  • Mentor and support more junior staff, including in their project work and developmentSupport budgeting, expenditure tracking, and financial accountability across projects
  • Contribute to policy, advocacy, training development and sector initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for program growth and improvement.

Skills and Abilities

  • Project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Budget management, reporting and financial tracking
  • Strategic thinking, analysis and problem-solving
  • Mentoring, staff support and collaborative working
  • Experience using project management and learning platforms (e.g. ClickUp, LMS, LearnDash) and Microsoft Office
  • Cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, business, strategy, health, allied health, education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in project management, ideally within health, policy, community or other purpose-driven sectors
  • Experience with managing diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing budgets, project deliverables and reporting requirements
  • Experience mentoring or coordinating staff
  • An interest in or understanding of the health sector, or willingness to learn (desirable)
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed (domestically).
