ASHM is a not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced and effective leader with strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills to join our team as a Global Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects within ASHM's Global Division, ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages discrete and complex projects and provides support across other key projects, within the global division.
• Develops and maintains integral relationships with project stakeholders and partners including funders, clinicians, community organisations, government and non-government organisations, and professional societies.
• Develops project plans, manages resources, budgets and risks within their projects.
• Develops project activity and financial reports to the funder.
• Ensures development of training packages and other deliverables are in line with ASHM standards and meets the project countries clinical requirements.
• Contributes to policy and advocacy within their project areas. 

Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate project teams, consultants, and partners, and facilitate effective project meetings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of reports, proposals, policy documents, and stakeholder communications
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including budget management, expenditure tracking, and reporting
• High level of digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and online project management or learning platforms
• Strong commitment to EEO, WHS, cultural diversity, safeguarding, and ethical practice principles 

Qualifications and Experience

• Postgraduate qualification in public health, or international development or a relevant field.
• 5+ years’ experience working in project management or public health within international development context.
• Proven experience in project management with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Experience working in the not-for-profit sector, government, or non-government organisations in international settings.
• Demonstrated experience managing international health projects, including budgets, financial management, and activity reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders and project teams, and deliver outcomes in complex environments. 

Desirable

• Knowledge of key public health principles, including the social determinants of health.
• Understanding of HIV, viral hepatitis, other blood-borne viruses (BBVs), and/or sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
• Familiarity with adult education principles and training development.
• Fluency in a language other than English.
• Experience engaging with healthcare professionals in international settings.
• Experience working on DFAT-funded projects.
• Experience working in the Pacific region.
