Summerland Farm is a business of Aruma, and is located in Alstonville, Northern New South Wales. Summerland Farm is a major tourism attraction, restaurant and functions centre, working farm, fruit packing and macadamia dehusking facility.

About the role / Daily procedures

  • Works collaboratively with Supervisors and Team Leaders to effectively manage their teams, ensuring a safe, compliant, and productive workplace environment.
  • Provide support and, works collaboratively with Supervisors and Team Leaders to develop a culture committed to quality and outstanding customer service across the fruit packing and macadamia dehusking businesses.
  • Works collaboratively with key staff to maximise marketing exposure and presence to increase sales and achieve targets.
  • Builds strong customer relationships, understands requirements and keeps all informed of progress ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Develops positive relationships through effective communication with external customers and key stakeholders, promoting Summerland Farm reputation and providing excellent customer service.
  • Adheres to organisation policies and procedures, all relevant government legislation and standards (including Freshcare/HARPS and Food Safety Standards).
  • Reports promptly all accidents and near misses to the Horticulture Manager and cooperates with actions to improve WHS risk management.
  • Provides regular reports to the Horticulture Manager on current business operations.

Skills and experience

Must have's OR Essential

  • A commitment to Aruma Code of Conduct
  • Demonstrated experience in customer engagement and customer service.

Nice to have's OR Desirable

  • Relevant qualifications, experience and skill level in Horticulture
  • Sound knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and food safety requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Industry Standards and quality assurance programs
