We are seeking a dedicated and bold Procurement Manager to be responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate procurement management process for the purchase of goods and services for Aruma This role is initially a 4 months FTC with the view of going permanent.

You will be reporting to the General Manager - Commercial to assist other Commercial team members and colleagues with procurement processes, develop and/or update procurement policies and procedures; and develop a centralised procurement program that supports Aruma's acquisition and management of goods and service to add value and efficiency to the organisation.

What success looks like…

  • Design an ongoing procurement operating model to deliver drive and deliver value for operations and our customers
  • Review current Procurement and Contract management arrangements and develop a plan to achieve efficiencies, effectiveness, compliance and value for money
  • Develop Purchasing and Procurement policies and procedures that may include: arrangements for different supplier types, purchasing levels, capital and non-capital purchases and items that must go to tender
  • Establish document library that should include: contract templates, standard T&C's, preferred supplier agreement and all tender related documentation
  • Develop and implement a preferred supplier strategy and project plan to ensure value for money
  • Benchmark costs both internally between services, businesses and externally

Skills and experience that make you stand out…

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, management or business administration
  • 5-8 years proven experience managing procurement function, supply chain operations, with at least 2 years supervisory experience
  • Demonstrable experience having set up a procurement function and/or having introduced procurement principles to a business
  • Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, development and compliance
  • Experience with building a vendor program
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
